Rita Satch x Meet Me In The Garden
Rita Satch
Born in Uzbekistan and raised in Melbourne/Naarm, Satch blends soul, jazz, and orchestral textures into genre-defying soundscapes that transport listeners into otherworldly realms.
"Meet Me in the Garden" is a soulful meditation on life, death, and the ever-turning cycles of nature. For Rita Satch, the garden represents renewal—a place for reflection, healing, and growth. “It’s about finding beauty in impermanence, honoring the past, and embracing infinite possibilities. Even after the harshest winters, spring always comes,” she reflects.
As the title track and final single from her highly anticipated debut album, Meet Me in the Garden arrives on February 14, 2025, via Silk Throne Records. Produced by Felix Bloxsom (SIA) and mixed by Grammy-winner Ben Kane (D’Angelo, Emily King), the track blends smooth soul with lush textures, rich storytelling, and timeless artistry.
Co-written with Daniel Mougerman (The Bamboos), the song opens with ethereal mellotron textures layered beneath Satch’s signature vocals, setting an otherworldly tone. The groove-driven rhythm section—featuring Bloxsom, Mougerman, Angus Radley (Harvey Sutherland), Ash Griffin (Vaudeville Smash), and Javier Fredes—channels the silky funk of 1970s Marvin Gaye and Leon Ware. Satch’s velvety vocal harmonies, influenced by D’Angelo, shine in the chorus, while Ben Eunson’s (John Legend) soaring guitar solo provides a breathtaking climax.
This single marks a bold new chapter in Satch’s career, building on collaborations with Gary Bartz, Barney McAll, and Lance Ferguson. Alongside previous releases Breathe and Joyride, Meet Me in the Garden showcases Satch’s signature sound—where soul, funk, and psychedelia intertwine to create something deeply emotive and undeniably timeless.
