Acid Amora x On Replay

Debut single, such a precious and important decision. Why On Replay?
While it's easily one of our most rehearsed/catchy “poppy” songs. It is also the first songs that we all wrote together! We also feel like “On Replay” showcases our image of being both soft/gentle (the Amora side) and being intense/harsh (the Acid side).

Are you thinking steps-ahead when you chose which track to lead with?
Definitely! We have a lot of special super secret plans for after our leading single “On Replay” releases.

Were there any unexpected results in taking your sound to a studio?
Surprisingly and happily yes! We were so lucky to have both an amazing producer Andrew Beck and our long time friends from Barney Collins there on the day of recording. Which helped relieve a lot of nerves! And allowed us to play confidently; like we do live. We also were able to add multiple vocal tracks, which gave On Replay a different sound than when we play it live.

Is there more collaboration beyond the rehearsal stage, or when you were recording did just go down as rehearsed?
To all of our surprise we had some minor and major changes! Nothing too drastic but this version of On Replay certainly had an upgrade! The structure changed completely in the recording process.

Was this single recorded independent of other tracks or is it part of a bigger session?
Funny you ask this, as when we play On Replay live there is an intro that leads into the song. There might be a possibility that we recorded the intro ;)

What’s next for Acid Amora?
We try to keep a lot of secrets but we are keen to get Merch happening in the upcoming future. But for sure more music, writing, recording and gigs! We have a few lined up for the next two months which you can find all info on our socials @acidamoraband on everything!!!
